Our current Service Area does not have a Dermatologist; accordingly, our patients must travel approximately forty (40) miles to receive dermatology care.  Our reasons for recruiting include being able to address this very issue as well as being able to expand the scope of services offered at the Health Center.  

Centrally located in Coles County, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is a 187-bed, not-for-profit, Joint Commission-accredited acute-care regional hospital located in East Central Illinois - 180 miles south of Chicago and 130 miles east of St. Louis.

The Health Center provides a full range of acute-care, general services and home health services to approximately 357,000 residents of Coles and the surroundings 12 counties. The Health Center's active and consulting medical staff includes 145 providers representing 28 specialties. Some of the services provided by the Health Center include: Regional Cancer Center, Outpatient Surgery Center, Women & Children's Services, Level II Perinatal Unit, Adult Care Unit, Behavioral Health Services, Radiology and Imaging Services, Cardiovascular Services including Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiac Cathetherization Lab, and Gastroenterology and Special Procedures and Laboratory.

Mattoon is centrally located between Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis, three of the country's largest metropolitan centers. All are reached within three hours via interstate highways.

More than 55 million people live within a 500-mile radius of Mattoon. This excellent location places the community in the hub of our nation's population, industry and commerce. It is surrounded with a comprehensive transportation systems with links to the entire world.
