The county’s mild climate and convenient location near water-related recreational activities, golf courses, and hiking trails makes it perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors. However, this area is also rich in culture, with its stunning antebellum homes and growing art community. Due to its ideal geographic location, Hertford County residents enjoy access to Raleigh, Richmond, Colonial Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks (all approximately two hours drive).
