About Our Opportunity

Sanford Clinic Pediatrics in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is seeking to add a BC/BE Pediatrician to their current group of four Pediatricians. The practice encompasses all aspects of general pediatrics including caring for newborns to adolescents, equally shared call, and hospital admissions. The group sees not only their own private patients, but also a large number of referrals from the eastern part of South Dakota, southwestern Minnesota, and northwestern Iowa. They carry a variety of patient populations from simple pediatric cases to fairly complex outpatients as well. 

There are two acute facilities in Sioux Falls that service children, and one long term care facility. Sanford Childrens Hospital, a free standing facility, is currently in design on the campus of Sanford Hospital. Ground breaking will begin in 2007 with opening planned for 2009. 

The practice enjoys minimal managed care and some of the lowest malpractice rates in the nation. 

SC Pediatrics East, although its own practice, is part of a larger group of 300 physicians practicing in the Sanford Clinic. The Sanford Children's Specialty Group, also part of SC, help manage their patients when in need of a subspecialist. They represent most all of the pediatric subspecialties.

The Sioux Falls area has a multitude of public parks throughout the city, many with additional recreation opportunities as well as public picnic areas.

The Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science is the region's newest cultural, educational, and entertainment facility. The Pavilion features the Husby Performing Arts Center, Kirby Science and Discovery Center, Wells Fargo CineDome Theater, and Visual Arts Center. The Great Hall seats 1,835 people with acts including touring Broadway productions, music concerts, and dance programs.
