Hospital Description:
OSF St. Francis Hospital is a fully integrated healthcare facility owned and operated by the Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis with corporate offices in Peoria, Illinois. What started in 1884 as a 20-bed hospital, has developed into a 110-bed, acute care facility spread over 82 wooded acres. This facility services Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft counties, with a population of 55,000 residents. It averages more than 16,000 patient visits every year. OSF St. Francis Hospital’s Emergency Department consists of 7 beds. Included is a cast room and two critical care rooms with state-of-the-art monitoring equipment. Renovations are expected to start Spring 2007.

Location Description:
With its temperate climate and over 200 miles of Great Lakes shoreline – more than any other county in the nationDelta County is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Hunting and fishing, skiing, swimming, boating, hiking and snowmobiling are just a few of the many activities Delta County residents can enjoy on a daily basis. Located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Delta County has a population of approximately 38,400 residents. The overworked phrase “quality of life” becomes reality when work, home, and recreation can be only minutes apart. The community is rural enough that there is virtually no time stuck in commuter traffic, yet large enough that everything you need, and most of what you want, is readily available. Moreover, urban entertainment is only a short distance away with Escanaba sitting only two hours north of Green Bay, four hours from Milwaukee, six hours from Chicago, and daily flights to major, Midwestern cities. Escanaba, literally, offers the best of both worlds; making it an ideal place to live, work, and raise a family.
