In September 2007, the hospital will be relocating south to a brand new $150 million facility within a Health Village of 170 acres.

Metro Health Hospital is a 238-bed general acute care & teaching hospital affiliated with Michigan State University.  We have 350+ physicians in the Metro Health System. The Metropolitan Health Corp. includes the hospital, a 50-member primary care physician group; a Medicaid HMO, a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) made up of 165 area physicians; and primary care outpatient centers called Metro Health Plazas.

Due to extraordinary growth and financial success over the past several years, the hospital plans to move from its current location into a brand new facility this September 2007. On a 170-acre parcel of land, Metro will become part of an innovative & inclusive ´´health village´´ made up of health care related services such as pharmacies, fitness centers, physician office bldgs., restaurants, etc. Metro offers an excellent benefits package, including medical/dental and life insurance, 403(b), pension plan and paid relocation expenses
