The Pediatric Critical Care and Hospitalist Service (PCCHS) at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center (SHMC) in Las Vegas, Nevada is recruiting a
full-time pediatric critical care specialist, or a BC/BE pediatrician with extensive critical care experience to assist in the development of this
program.  The PCCHS is staffed by two full time, pediatric critical care specialists who are assisted by mid-level providers.  The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 12 bed unit that serves the critical care needs of medical, surgical, and trauma patients in the pediatric department. This opportunity places strong emphasis on clinical services and program development.  BC/BE in pediatric critical care is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include clinical coverage of the PCCHS which entails coverage of the PICU, the pediatric hospitalist service, and the procedural
sedation service. Call will be shared with other members of the service. Compensation includes salary, a benefits package, malpractice insurance, and relocation assistance. SHMC is a 360-bed facility recognized for rapid growth in its 10-year history.  The center includes a 28-bed level III NICU, a 20-bed Pediatric Unit, a 12 bed PICU, and a newly opened 6 bed Pediatric Emergency Department.
