Bemidji Clinic is a 60-physician, multi-specialty group practice and is a secondary center affiliated with MeritCare Medical Group of Fargo, ND. Currently we are seeking BC/BE physicians to step into existing practices, joining a dedicated professional group of providers and staff.

Bemidji Clinic, founded in 1947 by doctors Whittemore, Groschupf and McCann, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1997. The clinic merged with MeritCare in 1988 and since that time has been extensively remodeling, including a new administration building in 1994 and a family practice center in 1995. The clinic employs 220 people.

MeritCare is a fully integrated 411-physician, multi-specialty group practice and 584-bed tertiary/trauma hospital including the 60-bed Children’s hospital located in Fargo, North Dakota and 26 regional primary care clinics in two states. 

Sister cities, Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN is a progressive, tri-college community of nearly 200,000 located on the southeastern border of North Dakota just a few miles from the beautiful lake country of western Minnesota. Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox  in Bemidji is one of the most photographed landmarks  in the United States

Bemidji, Minnesota the county seat for Beltrami County, has a population of over 11,000; the Greater Bemidji area has a population of 26,000. With vast forested areas and 600 lakes within 30 miles of Bemidji, it's a hot spot for snowmobiling, fishing hunting, hiking, skiing and tourism. The big statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox in Bemidji is one of the most photographed landmarks in the United States. 

Bemidji is also a retail/wholesale trade center with local, national and international manufacturing. The city has over 125 shops and 50 restaurants. Woolen products are produced by Bemidji Woolen Mills and many Native American handmade goods are sold in the area. Lady Slipper Designs, a nationally recognized company, is based in Bemidji and sells locally made artifacts throughout the country. 

An educational community, Bemidji is also the home of Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College.
