Emergency Department
Liberty Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department is a Level II unit open 24 hours per day. The department consists of two Major Trauma Rooms, one Orthopedic/Minor Trauma Room, and six Exam Rooms. The department is staffed at all times with a minimum of one Emergency Physician, Registered Nurses, Licensed Pratical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Advanced Nursing Technicians.

Departmental responsibilities include the immediate treatment of any medical or surgical emergency, the initiation of life-sustaining procedures in emergency situations, and the provision of emergency care for other conditions, including chronic medical problems and minor illness or injury.

Fast Track
The Fast Track is a subdivision of the Emergency Department. This area sees patients who are sick or injured but not suffering from critical illness or injury. The Fast Track area is capable of handling a full patient load with quality care and less wait time. It has three exam rooms, and is staffed with a Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse and an Advanced Nursing Technician.
