Gundersen Lutheran seeks a BE/BC addiction psychiatrist who will join five adult and five child psychiatrists, 5 psychologists and 45 masters prepared clinicians. The addictionologist will lead a chemical dependency continuum from medical detox through outpatient treatment, with integration into internal medicine as well as psychiatry. Gundersen Lutheran Behavioral Health currently provides methadone and suboxone treatment in addition to all other levels of addiction services.
Psychiatric outpatient care is offered on our main campus and at several sites in the Gundersen Lutheran healthcare system. Inpatient care is provided in a 27-bed unit adjacent to the medical center.
Qualified candidates will be highly skilled in the management of chemically dependent and dually diagnosed patients and will work closely with our interdisciplinary team in developing and providing medical/psychopharmacological substance abuse treatment services in both the inpatient and outpatient arenas. The preferred candidate will hold specialty certification in Addiction Psychiatry.
