St. John's Mercy Medical Group SJMMG is a physician governed group practice in partnership with St. John's Mercy Health Care, a not for profit, integrated health system in St. Louis, Missouri. SJMMG is comprised of more than 155 board certified and board eligible physicians and more than a dozen advanced practitioners (nurse practitioners and physician assistants).
Founded in 1994, SJMMG includes the largest group of general pediatricians in the region, as well as physicians in the following specialties:
SJMMG operates 67 medical practices, located throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area and surrounding counties. Practices range in size from a single physician to a group of eight physicians, serving approximately 250,000 patients. SJMMG provides medical care in accordance with the mission of St. John's Mercy and Sisters of Mercy Health System: to deliver quality health care with an emphasis on the poor and underserved. SJMMG physicians accept Medicare assignment, and participate in most major insurance plans, including commercial, Medicaid, Medicare risk, HMOs, and PPOs. SJMMG physicians have admitting privileges with at least one St. John's Mercy hospital, including (but not limited to) St. John's Mercy Medical Center and St. John's Mercy Hospital. SJMMG has a strong commitment to preventive health and wellness. Our practices accept new patients enrolled with the health plans in which we participate.
