Hospital based Urgent care position. Physician must be Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine. Physician must have at least 2 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience. Physician must be ACLS certified. Rotation includes 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 15 shifts per month.

1st location shift is 9am-9pm facility is open 7 days a week
2nd location shift is 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am facility is open 7 days a week At both locations physicians are paired with a physician assistant during each shift.

1st Location - Health Pavilion North Express Care is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. The last patient of the day is registered up to 7 PM. We are now averaging 52 visits per day. It is located in a multipurpose facility which allows on-site access to extensive laboratory and radiology support services including plain films, ultrasound and CT scanning.

2nd Location - Highsmith Express Care is open everyday of the year. The hours of operation are 7 AM with the last patient registered at 1 AM. It is located in a Long Term Acute Care hospital whose emergency department has been converted to an urgent care. It too has full clinical support including extensive laboratory and radiology services. During their 18 hours of operation they average 78 patient visits.

Medical problems cared for are typical ambulatory acute medical illnesses and minor injuries.
