Morgan Hospital and Medical Center (MHMC), located 30 minutes south of Indianapolis, is seeking a board-certified /board-eligible Anesthesiologist/ Pain Management physician, to serve as Director of the Anesthesiology Department and help build a robust Pain Management program.

 

About 75% of the time will be spent building the Pain Management program.  Currently there is 1 physician on staff, doing a small amount of pain management.  The program will include joint injections, disc diseases, cancers, epidurals, etc.

              

Anesthesiology responsibilities include medical direction of 2 full-time CRNA’s and providing vacation relief for them (about 12 weeks/year.)  In the future- call coverage may be part of the position (call would be 1:3.)  Anesthesia case make-up is mostly bread and butter general surgery, with some general orthopedics, a range of OB/GYN/labor & epidurals and some minor pediatrics.  There is no cardiac and limited vascular.
