The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is recruiting multiple Pediatric Subspecialists as part of the University Health Systems Children’s Hospital expansion. The 42 million dollar state of the art facility will be the premiere Children Hospital for eastern North Carolina. The new 158-bed children hospital will showcase a 50 bed NICU, immno-supression unit, cancer and blood disorder units, pediatric surgery space, and a specialized pediatric ER.
The Pediatric Department at the Brody School of Medicine consists of over 60 faculty members across 17 subspecialties. As part of the exciting expansion of children services in eastern North Carolina the department is currently seeking qualified candidates for Chief of Pediatric Surgery, Associate Director, University Health Systems Children Hospital; Pediatric Gastroenterologists; Pediatric Intensivist; Pediatric Nephrologists; Pediatric Ophthalmologist; Pediatric Pulmonologist; Pediatric Surgeons.
The Department of Pediatrics at East Carolina University is seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist to join its existing faculty. The Pediatric Pulmonary division provides services at both a large outpatient clinic as well as state of the art inpatient facilities at a level-1 trauma center. Current inpatient facilities at Pitt County Memorial Hospital include a 50-bed NICU and 12-bed PICU. Both pediatric sleep labs and sedation services are available.
The candidate should be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Pulmonology. Candidates should be willing to take an active role in the teaching of pediatric residents and medical students. Research time allocated if desired. Rank and title commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates with prior teaching and research experience are given special consideration. Pitt County Memorial Hospital (PCMH), one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the flagship hospital for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. PCMH is a fully accredited JCAHO hospital and is a 871-bed tertiary referral center, providing acute, intermediate, rehabilitation, and outpatient health services to more than 1.2 million people in 29 counties.
