Established physicians typically do extremely well in Fairbanks—often exceeding the 75 percentile for reimbursement (many over the 90th percentile). Our community owned hospital is managed by Banner Health and serves as the central hub and primary referral center for Interior Alaska with a service area of 114,000. Fairbanks Memorial has a brand new 26,000sf ER, two 64-slice CT scanners, 3 MRI’s, a new Cardiac CATH lab, 8 surgical suites, and a new heart center under construction.The Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation also owns the long established multi-specialty Tanana Valley Clinic.

We have no managed care, no state income or sales tax, and excellent reimbursement. Physicians would have the option of setting up an independent private practice in town and Banner Health has relocation and sign on bonuses available. We have terrific summer weather with extended daylight and temps in the 60’s and 70’s---sometimes peaking into the 80’s. We have world class cross country ski trails and winter activities can include skijoring, telemarking, snow machining, dog mushing, soaking in the hot springs, winter camping in cabins in the White Mountains to name a few.
