Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/Sports Medicine Physician - New Wellness Park Muskuloskeletal Facility on I-75, NW Ohio

BVHS Wellness Park, Opening January 2025 – NEW BVHS musculoskeletal facility with orthopedics, sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, podiatry, occupational/physical/speech therapy, outpatient lab and radiology. Facility located adjacent to primary care, endocrinology/diabetes management, rheumatology clinics.

• Creating a 73,000 square-foot complex basedon universal design principles with on-site outpatient laboratory and imaging services
• Adding a team of primary care providers to increase access to care
• Increasing patient capacity and long-term flexibility with standardization of examination room design
• Establishing a regional center for rheumatology, endocrinology, diabetes management, and research
• Addressing the healthcare needs of a growing portion of the BVHS service area
• Provide a single destination for orthopedic surgeons, physical medicine specialists, and adult/pediatric rehab
• Facilitate the collaboration of providers for enhanced patient outcomes
• Expand Julie A. Cole Rehab & Sports Medicine with an on-site gym area
• Create a dedicated pediatric rehab space for occupational therapy,
  physical therapy, speech therapy

Blanchard Valley Health System welcomes you to be part of our dedicated team serving patients in Northwest & Central Ohio. We are seeking a full-time Sports Medicine physician with experience/training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to join our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice.

• Welcome residents, fellows and experienced physicians
• High school and/or collegiate sports coverage experience REQUIRED
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals
• Manage acute and chronic conditions
• Treat wide range of muscular and skeletal injuries
• Perform EMGs, diagnose and manage non-operative fractures, sprains and concussions
• Conduct biomechanical examinations of patients, treatment plans, readiness for competition
• Provide common regenerative therapies, nonsurgical treatments, injections, diagnostic ultrasound
• Order and interpret results from laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging 
• Develop and supervise rehabilitation programs and medication management
• Identify risk factors for injuries 
• Educate patients on injury management and prevention
• Provide athletic team and event coverage, including area high schools, colleges
• Saturday morning bump clinics for area athletes
• Office on-call rotation
• Base salary, wRVU bonus, loan assistance, signing bonus, relocation, CME stipend
• Loan support during or following training (your choice of monthly, quarterly or annual stipend)
