Job Description:

We are seeking a Physician Ophthalmologist with specialty in Glaucoma Medicine in the scenic sunny - Southern Arizona, Tucson- VA Health Care System.

The Physician Ophthalmologist /Glaucoma Specialist will join our team of comprehensive and subspecialist ophthalmologists in sunny Southern Arizona. The clinic will primarily manage tertiary care glaucoma mixed with comprehensive ophthalmology and the opportunity to mentor the residents from the University of Arizona Ophthalmology Residency. This is an excellent opportunity to perform the latest MIGS (Hydrus, iStent, Xen, Micropulse, KDB) as well as other incisional glaucoma surgery with experienced eye nurses in the operating room in your own OR time.
Responsibilities to include clinical care, resident supervision, and training in both the outpatient and operating room settings.

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus):  Approved
Pay:  Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off:  50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Requirements:

• United States Citizenship
• Degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in all the US States
• Residency Training  
• Completion of Glaucoma Fellowship

• ABMS Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Ophthalmology
