As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate, compassionate care to diverse adult and pediatric patients. What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum of 12 months of relevant clinical experience treating both adults and pediatrics (6 months+ pediatric experience).
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (training provided).
- Board certification as either an NP or PA (Family NP, NCCPA, BLS, NC DEA required).
- Excellent soft skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently as the sole provider when needed.
- Ability to commit to full-time hours and provide consistent coverage within a 60-mile radius of Lumberton, NC.
- Clear communication skills and a positive attitude aligned with FastMed’s culture of compassionate, community-focused care.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience handling high-volume patient loads in urgent or emergency settings.
- Skills in minor procedures such as I&D, lac repair, ear irrigation, and others.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system beyond initial training.
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
- Board-certified NP or PA (Family or Emergency Medicine preferred).
- Active BLS certification.
- Evidence of NC DEA registration and proficiency with Epic EMR.
Additional Requirements & Details:
- Must have at least 12 months of relevant experience and be comfortable handling patients of all ages starting at 6 months old.
- No travel reimbursement; mileage within a 60-mile radius is covered.
- Will work under the supervision of a dedicated offsite physician with no call requirements.
- Participation in required training sessions scheduled on Wednesdays prior to first shift.
- Commitment to credentialing process, including all documentation submission and onboarding.
