The 459-bed Florida Medical Hospital (FMC) is an acute care hospital located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Established in 1973, the hospital provides a broad range of medical and surgical services for adult patients. The facility includes advanced cardiac care including open heart surgery, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology; ICU and CVICU units; primary stroke center; 24-hour emergency care; breast center; specialized surgical services; geriatric psychiatry and diagnostic imaging including CT and MRI.
