Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center is an acute care hospital within the not-for-profit Appalachian Regional Healthcare System. The hospital recently renovated their ED and has an adjacent psychiatric hospital, which is the designated State acute mental health facility for a 21-county region in Eastern Kentucky.

Hazard is located in the heart of the Appalachian coalfields in Eastern Kentucky, and offers fishing, hunting and camping with a great temperate climate year-round. The region also offers wildlife viewing, rivers, lakes and streams, historical attractions, original arts and crafts, and festivals.
