MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center is home to the only Level II trauma center in western Iowa - one of only four trauma care facilities in the state to receive verification from the American College of Surgeons - and MercyOne AIR MED, a regional helicopter ambulance service.

Hawarden, Iowa - Located one hour north of Sioux City, on the Big Sioux River, Hawarden is a small city in Sioux County, Iowa.

Sioux County Conservation Board manages local Oak Grove Park, which combines the Oak Grove State Park with the Big Sioux County Park. The park totals 433 acres, and is a multi-opportunity, picturesque, outdoor recreation area located 6.5 miles northeast of Hawarden. The park offers a variety of activities for outdoor enthusiasts including fishing, hiking, winter activities, bird watching and geocaching, among others.

Sioux City, Iowa, is a family friendly community of approximately 120,000 residents located in the center of America’s heartland, at the junction of the States of Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Sioux City is a vibrant, mid-sized city, with an unmatched low cost of living and is an excellent place to raise a family.
