The Hospital

The hospital a 253-bed, full-service acute care facility that has served Bremerton since 1918. It delivers more than 2,100 babies each year and offers a level II special care nursery, vaginal birth after cesarean, breastfeeding support, pelvic physical therapy, and private birthing suites.

The Location

Silverdale is located on the Kitsap Peninsula in Kitsap County, with a population of over 19,000 residents. It is 9 miles northwest of the city of Bremerton and the same distance south of Poulsbo. Silverdale lies at the north tip of Dyes Inlet, which connects it to Bremerton via Sinclair Inlet and to the Pacific Ocean via Port Orchard and Puget Sound.

Centrally located near, Bremerton, Poulsbo and Port Orchard, Silverdale is a convenient place to visit. On the shores of Dyes Inlet Silverdale is also accessible by the water. Transportation includes Kitsap Transit, taxi, Janssen's Charter & Tours, boat and ferry.

The Hospital

Providence St. Peter Hospital is a not-for-profit 390-bed facility that has earned Magnet recognition and has served the region since 1856. Its Family Birth Center delivers 2,000 babies each year, more than any other hospital in the five-county region. The Center is dedicated to high-quality care in a family-focused environment. It is home to a 13-bed level II Special Care Nursery.
