SSM Health - St. Louis’ mission statement—“Through our exceptional health care services, we reveal the healing presence of God”—is embodied by 11,500 employees and 2,500 staff physicians.  Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary, we are committed to serving the comprehensive health needs of St. Louis area residents. Through our network, which includes 7 hospitals, we offer comprehensive health care services, and specialized service lines in heart, cancer, neurosciences, orthopedics, pediatrics, weight-loss, sleep, imaging, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and fetal surgery.  

SSM Health Medical Group serves St. Louis and its surrounding communities with almost 400 physicians in 40 locations across the metro area.  We are proud of our physician led practice model. Governance of our medical group is provided by a board comprised of physicians, partnered with administrative staff.  Our practice model gives each of our physicians a voice in the operation of their own practice, allowing them to manage the care of their own patients and provide appropriate treatment.
