UF Health Leesburg Hospital seeking an Orthopedic Fellow for their developing Orthopedic Center in Leesburg, FL

The new Orthopedic Surgeon will be staffed under UF Health’s Regional Physician Network.

Formerly Leesburg Regional Medical Center, has been serving our community’s healthcare needs for over 50 years! It is a 321-bed acute care hospital that offers world-class services close to home in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. Located just north of Orlando, Florida, Leesburg Regional Medical Center has grown from a small community hospital built in 1963 to a comprehensive medical center.

General Orthopaedic Surgeon

UF Health Central Florida is searching for one full-time physician to be part of the founding team for developing a satellite office in Leesburg, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity for growing a practice in a community that is quickly expanding.

Responsibilities will include providing clinical care of patients in Leesburg and the surrounding areas. Surgeries will be performed primarily at UF Health Leesburg Hospital, Lake County’s largest tertiary care hospital and part of UF Health Central Florida, a locally owned healthcare provider in the region. Leesburg is located in Central Florida and has an increasing popularity as a retirement destination. A vibrant community known for it’s 1400 lakes, community events and festivals and rich history, Leesburg is within 50 miles of Orlando FL which is the closest metropolitan city.

Applicants must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, must have completed an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency and passed Part 1 of the Orthopaedic Surgery Boards Examination. The finalist must be board certified/board eligible and must be able to obtain an unrestricted Florida Medical License
