United Health Services is a family of health services organizations that exists to improve the health of the communities we serve by developing and maintaining a comprehensive and cost-effective health care system. We are a not-for-profit organization, operated for the public benefit. Formed in 1981 through the consolidation of three community hospitals, United Health Services today has an annual revenue of $1.17 billion and employs more than 6,300 people. As a teaching hospital of Upstate Medical University, UHS trains over 100 physicians per year in residency and fellowship programs.
Each of the six member organizations that are part of United Health Services is owned by the community it serves, and each organization is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors composed of local citizens. The system’s member organizations are:
- United Health Services Hospitals
- UHS Wilson Medical Center
- UHS Binghamton General Hospital - UHS Medical Group
- UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital
- UHS Delaware Valley Hospital
- UHS Senior Living Center at Ideal
- UHS Home Care
Teaching opportunities are available with the UHS Family Practice and Internal Medicine residents, Endocrinology, Geriatrics and Sports Medicine fellows, transitional year students, as well as 3rd and 4th year medical students on rotation from Upstate Medical University.
About Chenango Memorial HospitalThe 55,000 people who live in Chenango County enjoy the advantage of an outstanding community hospital in their midst.
