Looking for self-motivated, patient-focused nurse who would love to be part of a dynamic team.
1. Work under direct supervision of MD, PA-C or NP to provide excellent patient care to all patients.
2. Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and performs reassessments as per policy. This includes all age appropriate care including: pediatric, geriatric, and the general patient population. Assist in minor office procedures and appropriate medical screening exams.
3. Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
4. Performs waived testing (point-of-care testing) per clinical laboratory's and patient care unit's policies and procedures as needed when the lab tech is unavailable and performs tests in a timely manner and interpret results of waived tests.
5. Is knowledgeable of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition using 5 medication rights.
6. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families. Functions as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers.
