*Job description*

We are a well-established OB-GYN private practice in a growing south-central Virginia city seeking full-time obstetrician-gynecologist. We are looking for a board certified/board eligible MD or DO to join our team. Our practice currently has three physicians, three midwives, two nurse practitioners and exceptional support staff.

*Required Qualifications*

* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
* Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
* Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
* Active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
* Current BLS/ACLS certification (required by many hospitals)
* Hospital privileges or ability to obtain privileges at local hospitals
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*Responsibilities:*

* Deliver full-scope OB/GYN care
* Perform office-based and hospital-based procedures
* Participate in shared call rotation
* Collaborate with support staff to provide patient-centered care

* Office visits encompass a diverse range of services, including well-women exams, gynecological and surgical consultations, as well as low- and high-risk obstetric care.
