*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practices, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a hospital setting.
*Duties*
* Oversee the dispensing of medications and ensure accuracy in prescriptions.
* Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient counseling.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and pain management strategies.
* Manage inventory effectively, ensuring that medications are stocked appropriately and expired products are removed.
* Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and inventory tracking.
* Assist in IV insertion and IV infusion procedures as needed.
* Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in pharmaceutical care.
* Train and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance with best practices.
*Requirements*
* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
* Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
* Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of inventory management processes.
* Proficiency in pharmacy software applications.
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
* Familiarity with medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
* Ability to perform IV insertion and infusion procedures is a plus.
