A base hourly rate with a variable compensation component is available.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
* Assess patients' oral health and provide education on proper oral hygiene practices.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Utilize dental software systems such as Denticon for patient management and record keeping.
* Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
* Assist in the management of the dental office environment, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
* Conduct documentation reviews to ensure all patient information is up-to-date and accurate.
* Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
*Experience*
* A valid Dental Hygienist license is required.
* Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly with pediatric patients.
* Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review processes is advantageous.
* Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health is essential.
* Experience with dental assisting tasks is a plus, enhancing overall patient care capabilities.
