Wayne County Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed psychologist to join our compassionate, multidisciplinary team.

*Special Note:* All work is completed on site, located at 1519 Nye Rd. Lyons, NY. NO REMOTE WORK.
*ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:*
Possession of a doctoral degree in psychology, granted on the basis of completion of a program of psychology registered with the department (Education) or the substantial equivalent thereof in accordance with the commissioner's (Education) regulations; and have two years of supervised employment or engagement in appropriate psychology activities satisfactory to the board (of psychology) and in accordance with the commissioner's (Education) regulations.
Special Note: Only for Ph.D. or Psy.D. Psychologists. Master degree Psychologists (such as School Psychologists) are NOT qualified.
*EXAMPLES OF WORK (Illustrative only):*
* Performs psychological evaluation for diagnostic purposes using appropriate testing devices;
* Participates in behavior modifications and shaping rehabilitation and counseling;
* Assists in the intake, screening and diagnostic activities of the clinic;
* Participates in staff conferences for diagnosis and recommendation of treatment for patients;
* Writes reports, case studies and maintains records;
* Advances the community mental health program by disseminating information through educational and community organizations;
* Participates in campaigns to stimulate interest in the prevention and detection of mental illness including storefront collaboration with other social services, home visiting, family programs, aftercare and referral systems in participation with other professionals and non-professionals.
*SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS:*
Eligibility for a license or limited permit to practice as a psychologist in the State of N.Y. Possession of license is required within 18 months following appointment.
