We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy, with experience in long-term care (LTC) and critical care settings. This role requires a commitment to patient service and the ability to manage pharmacy staff effectively.

*Duties*

* Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and compounding medications.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
* Conduct patient assessments and provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication management and pain management.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
* Manage inventory effectively to ensure the availability of medications and supplies.
* Oversee the training and development of pharmacy technicians and support staff.
* Administer immunizations and perform IV insertion as needed.
* Utilize pharmacy software, EMR systems, and EHR systems for efficient workflow management.
* Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities.
* Provide education to patients regarding their medications, including potential side effects and proper usage.

*Qualifications*

* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Active pharmacist license in good standing.
* Experience in LTC pharmacy, critical care, or acute care settings preferred.
* Completion of a pharmacy residency is highly desirable.
* Strong clinical pharmacy experience with knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic technique.
* Proficiency in compounding medications and IV infusion techniques.
* Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient assessment and care.
* Familiarity with inventory management practices within a pharmacy setting.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
