*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various nursing skills. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care to patients across diverse settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities.
*Duties*
* Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
* Perform various clinical procedures, including IV insertion, suturing, catheterization, and wound care.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
* Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-operative care.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
* Engage in critical care situations, providing support in emergency medicine and trauma cases.
*Skills*
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:
* Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
* Experience in critical care environments (ICU/PICU) and emergency room settings.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
* Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
* Skills in patient assessment, triage, pain management, and acute pain management techniques.
* Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
* Competence in performing diagnostic evaluations and laboratory specimen collection/processing.
* Ability to administer injections, manage ventilators, perform tube feeding, and provide ostomy care.
* Understanding of hospice & palliative medicine principles as well as behavioral health practices.
