*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards while providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in clinical pharmacy, particularly in long-term care (LTC) and acute care settings. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient service, and the ability to manage pharmacy staff effectively.
*Duties*
* Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide clinical pharmacy services including patient assessment, medication management, and immunizations.
* Oversee the compounding of medications and ensure aseptic techniques are followed.
* Manage inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of pharmaceuticals.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication administration.
* Train and mentor pharmacy technicians and staff on best practices, including the use of pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems.
* Conduct patient consultations to address medication-related issues and provide education on pain management and other health concerns.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services and patient outcomes.
* Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and critical care practices relevant to patient treatment.
*Qualifications*
* Current pharmacist license in good standing
* Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care delivery.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
