*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a travel contract to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse environments, including acute care, outpatient clinics, schools, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), discharge planning, and working with individuals of all ages and disabilities. *Responsibilities*
* Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized care plans tailored to their needs.
* Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Implement therapeutic interventions for diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.
* Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
* Work with patients in various settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and schools.
* Provide education on physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and therapy techniques to patients and caregivers.
* Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed case management records.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment goals and adjust care plans as needed.
* Support early intervention programs and assist children with autism or developmental delays.
* Contribute to the development of care plans that align with patient goals and healthcare standards.
*Requirements*
* Valid occupational therapy license in the state of practice.
* Proven experience in acute care, ICU, inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, or school settings.
* Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care procedures.
* Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and post-acute care patients.
* Ability to assist with ADLs and discharge planning effectively.
* Strong case management skills with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.
* Excellent communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Flexibility to adapt to various clinical environments and patient needs. Pay: $80.00 - $115.00 per hour
