*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled FULL TIME or PART TIME Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients.

*Responsibilities*

* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and evaluating periodontal health.
* Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing while utilizing aseptic techniques.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
* Maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
* Document patient care accurately in the dental office management system, including medical coding when necessary.
* Work effectively with pediatric patients to ensure a positive experience during their visits.
* Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

*Requirements*

* Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
* Nitrous monitoring license preferrred.
* Proficiency in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
* Experience working in a dental office environment is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
* Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
