Fulltime Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity
The Pediatric Hospitalist will provide supervision and consultation to attendings in the Departments of Pediatrics and Family Medicine. The incumbent will also provide teaching and medical consultation as necessary for Department of Surgery and Family Medicine residents and provide emergency inpatient coverage of pediatric patients as needed.
The Pediatric Hospitalist will support medical staff utilization management and clinical effectiveness efforts, enhance the quality and safety of in-patient care, complete care of patients admitted to the Pediatric Hospitalist service (either referred by private MD or admitted from the ED). Alongside in-house 24-hours per day Neonatologists, the Pediatric Hospitalist group provides in-patient care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. This fulltime opportunity has a work schedule of 8, 24-hour shifts per month. Come join a dynamic team!
- MD/DO License required
- Board eligible or board certified required in Pediatrics
- Previous experience with in-patient pediatrics, sick and well newborn care highly preferred
- NRP, PALS certification required
- Must possess excellent communication and computer skills.
