Responsibilities for the Body Imaging division include interpretation of Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound.
This section covers a busy workload of inpatient and outpatient cross-sectional imaging of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis as well as a portion of the CTA examinations of the extremities.
CT imaging is heavily concentrated in oncology workup/follow-up in addition to significant caseloads in postsurgical/trauma patients. MR of the abdomen includes liver, pancreas and renal imaging and MR of the pelvis includes evaluation of GI, GYN, and GU malignancies including prostate MRI.
In addition to staffing UofL Hospital and its attached outpatient imaging center, staff will cover imaging services at all of the hospitals in the UofL system where the sub-specialty group is again responsible for Body CT, MR and US. Reading of images onsite is preferred.
