We are currently seeking a highly skilled Locum Physician in Neurology to provide exceptional patient care at McLaren Northern Michigan. What You’ll Do:

• Provide outpatient and inpatient neurological assessments, including EEG interpretation, lumbar punctures, radiologic exam interpretation, and brain death examinations.
• Cover hospital call duties, including night and weekend shifts, ensuring continuous quality care.
• Participate in outpatient clinic hours, performing scheduled appointments and consultations.
• Utilize Cerner EMR to document medical records efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Medical License and Board Certification in Neurology.
• Proven experience in neurological procedures such as EEG, lumbar punctures, and radiologic assessments.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience reading inpatient and outpatient EEGs.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR platform.
• Comfort with telemedicine consultations and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in neurology.
• Prior experience in hospital-based neurologic care is highly desirable.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of immunization requirements including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, TB testing, and Tdap.
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled.
• Must use DocTime for clock-in/out; no paper timesheets.
• Willingness to provide call coverage and to interpret EEGs during scheduled shifts.
