Perm Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity – Reno, Nevada
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to join our reputable pediatric team at a prominent medical facility in Reno, Nevada. Position Overview:
As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be integral to the care of neonates and children within a 58-bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will practice in close coordination with pediatric subspecialists, hospitalists, intensivists, and a dedicated nursing team, delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. This role involves actively participating in education of residents and medical students, fostering a teaching environment that promotes future healthcare leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform newborn nursery examinations and assessments
- Conduct circumcisions utilizing established protocols
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, including neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, and intensivists, to coordinate patient care
- Engage in teaching and mentoring pediatric residents and medical students
- Work alongside a highly trained nursing staff with expertise in transitional, newborn, and couplet care
- Leverage support from Certified Lactation Specialists available year-round
- Provide expert care in a facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology
- Maintain a focus on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction
- No attendance at deliveries required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Valid medical license to practice in Nevada or eligible for licensure
- Residency or training located within the immediate Reno area; relocation may be required
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care
- Eligible to work full-time in a permanent capacity; no locums or visa candidates considered
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary, ranging from $190,000 to $230,000 annually, commensurate with experience and training
