Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Certified Hospital  is searching for a  board-certified/board-eligible Neurologist  with experience and/or training in stroke or vascular neurology for the Avera Brain & Spine Institute in Sioux Falls, SD. 

  • This is a full-time, salary supported position.
  • You will serve as a staff neurohospitalist providing neuro consultation only. Admission and primary medical management is provided by general hospitalist. Will also be responsible for providing neuro management of patients throughout the hospital.
  • You will be part of a Comprehensive stroke team consisting of neurointerventional, neurointensivist, skilled nursing and certified hospitalists.
  • Our neuroscience team consists of three neurointensivists, three neurohospitalists, one neurointerventionalist, six  neurosurgeons, six neurologists, five physiatrists and advanced practice providers. 
  • You will additionally be able to participate in neurohospitalist practice efficiencies, quality improvement programs, and educational activities for medical students, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals who provide care in the Avera Brain & Spine unit.
