Nocturnist - Internal Medicine Opportunity
IHA and St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor have an excellent full time employment opportunity for an Internal Medicine Nocturnist to join our multi-specialty group located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
IHA is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine physicians interested in becoming part of a large hospitalist group. This group consists of 70+ hospitalists in addition to 20+ midlevel providers. The partners are looking for associates who will complement their culture of collaboration, compassion and professionalism while being an advocate for the patient, as well as serving the needs of the hospital. The group at St. Joseph Ann Arbor currently consists of 50+ physicians.
Candidates seeking full time employment can expect to work approximately 1,920 hours (192 shifts) on an annual basis. Most providers work 7 days on/7 days off with schedules that allow for a balance between personal and professional life. The schedule for this opportunity is 100% nights.
St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor has a variable census of 250-280 with an average census of 14-16 patients per physician each shift. The ICU is closed with an Intensivist on duty 7:00 am – 12:00 am with after hour call. The Nocturnist shifts are 4:00 pm – 2:00 am, 6:00 pm – 4:00 am, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am (ICU), 9:00 pm – 7:00 and 10:00 pm – 8:00 am.
