UMPhysicians seeks a board-eligible/board certified Nurse Practitioner to join our practice at our University of Minnesota Heart Care (formerly Minnesota Heart Clinic) in Edina. The NP provides and coordinates patient care for adults with selected cardiovascular diseases throughout the course of evaluation and treatment, including hospital admission,inpatient care, discharge planning, transitional care, clinic follow up, providing information to referring physicians and institutions and patient/family education.
A qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Adult Practitioner training program. Current MN APRN licensure required. Approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursin for prescription writing privileges. Board eligible/certified by American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). Meets threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
3-5 years of experience with cardiovascular disease patient care or ICU experience required. Structural heart experience a plus but not required.
