The Wake Forest University School of Medicine is offering a one year Fellowship in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine starting after July 1, 2018.

While organized in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, this is truly a multidisciplinary educational program offering rotations in Infectious Disease, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Burn Care and General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dermatology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Geriatrics, Pain Management, Rheumatology as well as inpatient and outpatient wound care. Clinical and/or laboratory research is expected during the year working with the faculty of the Wound Care Center and associated specialties.

Competitive applicants must have an MD or DO degree and be Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Medical Specialists. Training in either surgical or medical specialties is acceptable. Successful completion of the fellowship will prepare the trainee to be a Medical Director of a wound care center but is currently not an ACGME certified fellowship. Salary and appropriate fringe benefits are provided.
