Opportunity Details

Excellent opportunity to join an established and successful physician owned Hematology and Oncology practice located on California's beautiful Central Coast - North San Luis Obispo County. Current practice is located in South County in Pismo Beach. Due to strong community need and the desire to expand the existing practice, the new physician will be based out of a new North County office in Templeton. There are several small towns throughout the North County that comprise a total catchment area of approximately 100,000 people. With virtually no competition, ramp-up is anticipated to be quick. This position is almost completely (~95%) outpatient, though the new physician will have privileges at Twin Cities Community Hospital.

The Pismo office has infusion chairs in-house and both private and semi-private rooms, furthering the patient experience carefully crafted by the founding physician. There will be one Oncologist based at the exisiting practice and the lead physician will float between both the North and South county offices. His philosophy is to take the time to really provide the best and most well-rounded care for each patient. He also strives to have sustainable workloads for his physicians - they are generally home for dinner and for weekends. He wants to provide the best care possible while also ensuring the satisfaction of his physicians in staff, in practice and life. The vision is to expand the new North County practice to mirror the Pismo office, however, billing will remain at the original location so the headaches of a private practice will be limited to the new physician.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with community outreach, and have an interest in research and clinical trials. This position offers long-term career potential where you will have the opportunity to leave your professional mark and make a real impact in the community.

Must be fellowship trained in Hematology and Oncology and Board Certified/Eligible. A current CA medical license, or in process is preferred. Please send CV for immediate consideration!
