Adult Psychiatrist in Shreveport, LA
Interested in training the next generation of psychiatrists? The Department of Psychiatry at LSU Health-Shreveport is seeking applicants for both Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to supervise residents on its Inpatient and Outpatient clinical services in Shreveport and Monroe.
Applicants must be B.E. or B.C. and able to obtain a Louisiana medical license. Basic responsibilities include clinical supervision of residents, teaching, and research. All night and weekend first call is handled by residents with a 1 in 6 rotation for faculty weekend rounds.
Starting base salary, practice plan participation, and academic rank will be based on training and experience. Full or Part-time and Couples Recruitment with mixed specialties is negotiable.
The Psychiatry training programs include 32 general residents, 4 child fellows, and 2 forensic fellows. Located in the Northwest corner of Louisiana and within 4 hours of Dallas, Houston, and Baton Rouge; LSU Health-Shreveport, has 500 medical students and 41 accredited residency and fellowship programs with 550 approved positions.
