Surgical PA-C for Reconstructive Plastic Surgery
First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking to employ an experienced Surgical Physician Assistant to join our group in the highly desirable area of Sarasota, Florida. We are a large, multi-specialty group comprised of approximately 200 physicians and APPs in 28 different specialties and 31 different practice locations. FPG has been in the community for almost 25 years and is the only employed physician group affiliated with Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- First Assist to a seasoned and talented reconstructive plastic surgeon who also completed a Fellowship in Burn.
- Must be able to work closely with physician under a microscope and close complex wounds on their own.
- Candidate will do consults and hospital rounds.
- No clinic; hospital-based position only.
- Schedule will include two weekends a month but will offer a Tues/Thur off when working the weekend. Schedule will be Monday through Friday if not working a weekend.
- Experience in Plastic Surgery or Orthopedics is preferred.
- Cases will include but not limited to complex hand, complex breast reconstruction, major soft tissue reconstruction, and microsurgery,
- This position has a minimal amount of elective cosmetic surgery.
