The Department of Anesthesiology at the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a board eligible/board certified anesthesiologist to join the Division of Abdominal Transplant Anesthesia. Experience in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant is desired, but not required. Candidates with familiarity with intraoperative TEE are also preferred. In 2018, Ochsner performed over 200 liver transplants, making it a leader among U.S. medical centers. Ochsner also routinely performs liver-kidney transplants, kidney transplants and kidney-pancreas transplants. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a commitment to teaching and education, are prerequisites.
The Department of Anesthesiology includes 70 anesthesiologists, 100 CRNAs, and over 45 house staff, with an annual case volume of more than 52,000.
