Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Gyn Oncology in Englewood, New Jersey

Englewood Health, an award winning community teaching hospital, is seeking a full-time NURSE PRACTITIONER (APRN) or PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) to join the Gynecological Oncology Division.

The candidate is the point person for the Gynecologic Oncology division and is expected to actively participate in all aspects of patient care in the gynecologic oncology service including but not limited to office consultation and all related follow-up, infusion care, peri-operative care and management, inpatient care, consultations, conferences, research, and education. The position requires compassion and dedication to the patients and their needs. The candidate is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care by planning, directing and coordinating the care of the Gynecologic Oncology Patients.

Job Essentials:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the area of Oncology preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to prioritize and strong attention to detail required
  • Clinical experience in the area of Oncology required
  • Certification in Chemotherapy/Biotherapy required
  • Certification in Oncology preferred
  • Women’s Health Experience preferred


Education requirements:

      Nurse Practitioner (APRN):  Master's Degree Required

      Physician Assistant (PA):    Bachelor's Required, Master’s Degree Preferred

License/Certification/Registry:
   Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN):

  • Current NJ State Physician Assistant License or Advanced Practice Nurse License
  • Current BLS and ACLS
  • Current CDS license
  • Current DEA license
  • Certification in Chemotherapy/Biotherapy required
  • Certification in Oncology preferred

Our Cancer Center has 8 established DMTs each coordinated by recognized subspecialty Surgical and Medical Oncologists.  We actively participate in clinical trials and educate medical students and house staff. Based in a brand new, state-of-the art facility, The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment & Wellness Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center includes a 36-bay infusion center, a cutting-edge Radiation Oncology suite with two new Varian True Beams, and the full range of medical, surgical, genetic counseling, and Palliative Care services.  The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment & Wellness Center is COC and NAPBC accredited and features oncology certified nurse practitioners, an oncology certified pharmacist, research coordinators, nurse navigators, nutritionists, chaplains, and integrative medicine providers.
