The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Overview

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Nuclear Medicine who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusivity. He/she/they will contribute to the Department’s ambition while upholding the organization’s mission and values. The responsibilities of the position include patient care and teaching graduate and postgraduate trainees, with opportunities for research and leadership depending on candidate interest/experience.

The Division of Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging focuses on all aspects of Abdominal & Pelvic imaging, in particular, Xray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT and MRI.  By joining our faculty, you will have excellent opportunities for advancement, while working with an exceptional cadre of multidisciplinary providers.  Faculty are supported by many outstanding clinical, research, and educational resources in the department and organization, including substantial, dedicated expertise in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.

Department/Division Overview
The Department of Radiology is rapidly growing, with expanded services at off-site imaging centers, and renovations to our existing clinical spaces and new spaces through the medical center strategic expansion project ($3+ Billion):

• Main campus: New construction of a state-of-the-art 830-bed hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and a Health Sciences building that will house the College of Medicine
• Around the city: Construction of 2 newly designed ambulatory care centers in New Albany and Dublin  now completed and open in addition to 16 established ambulatory care centers up and running today

Duties and Responsibilities

• Traditional in-person, 8am – 5pm coverage Monday – Friday for part-time and full-time positions. Weekend and Holiday coverage shared among abdomen faculty. No overnight call responsibility.  Remote, off hours positions may be available for the right candidate

• Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging Division of the Department of Radiology:
• Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Abdominal & Pelvic imaging Service.
• Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Abdominal & Pelvic imaging Service.

• Education, Training, and Faculty Development:

• Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.
• Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.
• Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.

• Research and Scholarship:

• Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation
• May serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials
• Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department, as appropriate

Job Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. in imaging and/or imaging-related fields
• Board certification in Radiology (ABR, AOBR)
• Subspecialty fellowship in Abdominal & Pelvic imaging, or equivalent experience
• Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
• Must support and embrace the diverse and inclusive culture of College of Medicine, the Medical Center, and the University

Faculty Defined
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a doctor of medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research. ?

Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.?

Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.?
