Endocrinology North Little Rock

Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock (BHMC-NLR), in conjunction with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), is seeking a BE/BC Endocrinologist. The recruitment need is to replace a physician who recently relocated out of state.

The need for an Endocrinologist in the market is twofold. First, patients in this area are underserved in this specialty. Second, BHMC-NLR is in a growth phase as two residency programs are being established on the campus. There will be twelve Family Medicine residents and twelve Internal Medicine Residents beginning their training in July 2019. Ideal candidates for the Endocrinology opportunity will be interested in working with the GME programs.

BHMC-NLR is the third largest hospital in the 11-hospital Baptist Health system at 225-beds. AHG is the employed physician group for Baptist Health. This opportunity provides a base salary as well as quality incentive and production based bonuses. 

Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock became part of Baptist Health in 1962 and has served patients at its current location off Interstate 40, Exit 156, since 1999. The nationally recognized, faith-based hospital has 250 licensed beds and offers comprehensive services delivered in an inviting, less institutionalized setting.

Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock’s Emergency Department is a Level III trauma center, which means it has demonstrated the ability to provide advanced trauma life support (ATLS) prior to the transfer of patients to a higher-level trauma center.

Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute-North Little Rock as well as two medical office buildings – Medical Office Building in North Little Rock and Springhill Medical Plaza – are located on the campus, allowing patients and providers convenient access to additional health care services.
