The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) and The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science are recruiting for an Academic Neuro-Ophthalmology specialist to join our team of experts. This is a full-time position that is clinically focused in an academic setting, with an expectation for teaching residents and medical students as well as support for clinical research. Clinical care will be provided in the local VA and office locations in the Columbus, OH area. The neuro-ophthalmology area currently consists of one fulltime clinical neuro-ophthalmologist and another that has combined specialties of neuro-ophthalmology / orbital and oculoplastic surgery. The Ohio State University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science has 28 clinical faculty that comprise all subspecialties. There are eighteen residents and six fellows.
Qualifications:
Ohio State Havener Eye Institute Olentangy River Road, located within the Eye and Ear Institute, is part of the nationally recognized Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Our eye care experts offer comprehensive vision and eye care, including the latest examination and diagnostic techniques, as well as medical and surgical care. Services offered at this location include cornea, refractive surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma, retina care, and LASIK eye surgery.
The Department of Ophthalmology is led by Chair, Sayoko Moroi-Fetters, MD, PhD, boasts a broad array of clinical, research and educational opportunities. The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science reputation for excellence helps us attract the best physicians, teachers, researchers, fellows, and nursing staff at one of the most comprehensive health sciences campuses in the nation.
